21st Century Learning: Integration of Technology into Education πŸ€–πŸŽ“

Hello my readers! The topic of this post is, as you can see in the title, 21st century learning and the part of technology in education, especially in language classrooms. To begin with, I want to explain my knowledge regarding what it is. It is acknowledged that the future of learning is shaped by the present and future technological developments. Every other day, in several areas, various brand new advancements emerge and they can carry our knowledge further. One of the most valuable and significant areas is education.
We can conclude that 21st century learning means harmonizing our present knowledge with the technological inventions that can enhance our learning so that we can catch the future novelties. Besides, there are some sets of learning skills which can also be called "4 C's" in the area of 21st century learning: These include Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration and Creativity. At that point, this question arises: Why is 21st century learning important in the language learning area? The answer lies behind the implementation of technology. In many classrooms, teachers utilize different technological tools, for example ChatGPT for human-like conversations, Duolingo for long-term language acquisition and Call Annie for speech practicing. All of these AI tools are beneficial for certain aspects of learning language and all of them are quite helpful for both the teachers and the learners. Therefore, in the near future, old learning habits are going to be replaced by these innovative tools completely.
